TrueRuler is provided by Yue Xiong. This policy describes how the app and its support services handle information.
Information in the app
The current version does not require an account for measuring. The app does not upload measurements, device information, or calibration settings to developer servers, and it does not integrate advertising or behavioral analytics services.
To calculate the ruler scale and match calibration settings, the app reads screen dimensions, display scale, device model, or display information on the device. The iPhone and iPad versions use DeviceKit to look up device information locally. This information is used to display the ruler and is not sent to us by the app.
Manual calibration values are stored in local app preferences. The app does not save measurement history or provide calibration cloud sync. Operating system backup and restore behavior is controlled by system settings.
Support communications
If you email us, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to provide. We use this information to handle your request, investigate issues, and respond to feedback, not for advertising. These messages are received and processed through Gmail.
Please avoid sending sensitive information unrelated to your request. You may contact us to request deletion of personal information in support messages, subject to applicable requirements. We retain support information only as long as needed to resolve the request and provide reasonable follow-up, or as required by applicable rules.
Support website
When you visit our product website or policy pages, the hosting provider may process access logs needed to serve and secure those pages, such as IP addresses, browser information, and access times.
This website is hosted with OpenAI Sites, and its DNS is managed by Cloudflare. These providers may process information needed to deliver and secure the website. We have not added advertising or marketing analytics tools.
Manage local calibration
Use the restore-default control on the calibration page to clear manual calibration for the current screen and direction. Other directions must be cleared separately. Refer to your device settings to manage system backups.
Policy updates
If our data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date, and provide notice through the app or another appropriate method when needed.
